On 17 January 2026, Canazei and Alba di Canazei will become the beating heart of Alpine traditions with the 2nd Forum of the Archaic Dolomitic Masked Rituals. This event celebrates ancient rites born from the deep relationship between people, nature, and the seasons.

The masked traditions of Sottoguda and Laste, together with others, tell stories of community, identity, and shared memory, passed down from generation to generation.

The Forum supports the candidacy of the Archaic Dolomitic Masked Rituals for UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, aiming to protect a heritage made of wooden masks, ritual gestures, and profound values.

In the afternoon, the parade in Alba di Canazei will offer an authentic and moving experience, where the past comes back to life.
